About this place
Located within a residential apartment complex area in Koto Ward's Ojima 6-chome, Cafe 06 is a welcoming community cafe operating on a limited schedule from 11:00 to 14:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In its relaxed dining room, local residents cook and serve comforting homemade dishes, toast, and coffee at accessible prices.
Handmade Lunch Menus with Day-by-Day Appeal
The midday menu features dedicated items for each day of operation. Tuesdays feature a comforting curry set evoking familiar home cooking, complete with a side dish, soup, and an after-meal coffee or tea for ¥650. On Thursdays, the cafe prepares a ginger-accented lotus root sandwich udon (¥650) limited to 10 servings, pairing vegetables, chicken, and stuffed lotus root in a savory broth. Thursdays also bring an inarizushi set (¥550), prized for its sweet-and-savory simmered tofu pockets and accompanied by chunky soup, pickles, and a drink. The inarizushi can also be purchased individually for ¥250, with some patrons ordering it to take away.
Laid-Back Afternoons with Toast and Cafe Drinks
Lighter choices include the popular pizza-style toast set and a polka-dot cheese toast set topped with cocktail sausage, edamame, and wholegrain mustard (¥550 each), alongside a handmade onigiri set. Hot or iced coffee, cafe au lait, and tea can all be ordered for ¥250, while juice cartons (¥100) are offered for primary school children and younger. With on-site parking and an easy environment for solo diners, it offers an approachable midday refuge.
